In 1915 General Crozier was interviewed by an appropriations board. The Army at that time appeared to have no use for the Krag. The Army was even considering selling them to other countries with the stipulation that they couldn't be returned. That would have been a shame. They were concerned with anarchist obtaining them in our country and decided it wasn't a good idea.
