As seen above, General Crozier was not in favor of dumping the 358,000 Krag rifles on the U.S. civilian population in 1915. He was in favor of selling them to another country. But what if it was Germany? The following article ran during the same year, 1915, where there was rumor of Germany trying to get these condemned Krags. What if they would have? Our hobby would have been severely hampered. Or am I just getting overly dramatic?
