Kaiser Wilhelm was given the gift of a U.S. Springfield Armory made Krag, back in 1894. (I'd like to know what happened to that one? Hopefully it survives in an Arms Museum in Germany).

If Germany had obtained U.S. Krags in large numbers, I'm sure they would have shown up somewhere mischievous, like Ireland, to destabilize the United Kingdom.

Or worse, in Mexico, to keep the U.S. concerned, preoccupied, and Neutral, (in regards to Europe).
