The 'Kraghaus' long-eye relief scope-mount also allows the original Krag Safety-Lever to be used without modification.
Traditional scope placement on a Krag, even when the scope is off-set, prevents the 'Issue Safety-Lever being put on 'safe'. The Ocular Lens housing interferes with the lever being swung to the 'safe' position. (One solution was to install and fit a Buehler Safety-Lever. This required alterations to the Krag action's Striker Mechanism). |
