At 'Grandpa's Gun Parts' a NOS 1896 bolt sells for $65 and a new 1898 bolt for $55. He has 'parkerized' 1896 and 1898 bolts on sale .
(There is a link to him in the 'classifieds'). On a 'parts project' Krag, I'd try a "good" 'parkerized' model 1898 bolt at $25. BTW - The 1898 bolts should work in a model 1896 receiver without a problem. |
