Title: New Hornady match
Post by Capt. Frank on May 12th, 2019 at 4:19pm
Has anyone seen, or tried Hornady's new aluminum tipped match bullets? They are advertised to be superior to the plastic tipped bullet, because the weight of the bullet is placed for better accuracy.

I've not even heard of 'em yet, but if they make them in 220 gr RN... I'd be very interested!

As far as I can discern...comes in 30 cal 230 and 250 gr.

Use of a new A-TIP™ seating stem is required for optimal bullet seating.

I see a recommended twist of 1/9 on the Hornady site.

I'm just p-o'd they didn't do up any in 7mm!!  I currently shoot the 6.5mm 147 ELD'Match in my 6.5 Creedmoor. Great bullet for me and it HAMMERS steel with sincere authority out to 1000. Reloder 16, 17, and H4350 are my magic fire dust.

For my Tikka 7mm I do 168 Matchkings and Nosler Custom Competition do very well with surplus WC857. The Hornady 139 GMX are silly accurate with Reloder 23.
