Thank you for reminding us all of a document which recognizes the rights we are born with and enumerates those rights and protections essential to a free people. My wife and I have traveled most of the world, most recently taking a World Tour aboard the Queen Mary 2 ( a story for another time). The past 10 years of these voyages have confirmed what most of us know, most folks are good people with basic instincts for cooperation and kindness.

On the other hand, I came to realize that we Americans are the only truly free people on the planet. Hyperbole? Not as much as it seems. Think about it. We founded a country with no Royals and no massive entrenched bureaucracy of ancient origin. Big government developed as the country aged but our strong sense of freedom and independence is born in our bones and cannot be denied. We must preserve with strong voice that which so many generations purchased with their hearts and their blood.

Knute also had it right. God Bless America. We are all Americans, not racial stereotypes.
