Title: Re: Krag Carbines in Neat Rack - Spanish American War Post by butlersrangers on Sep 17th, 2019 at 10:22pm
Thanks 'Local Boy', that's 'more better'.
It is a better focused photo than the one in 'Rcat's original post. I was wrong about the carbines. The 'boxy looking' magazine-gates were my delusion. The stock bolt-handle 'cut-out' shows them to be model 1896 carbines. I didn't notice the double-action revolvers in the top of the gun racks, before. At the left edge of the photo, a Cook (possibly 'Black'), is partially shown wearing an apron and holding a 'Dinner Tri-Angle'. He was apparently cropped out of the original posted picture. |
