In my search for details on the U.S. model 1875 1.65 inch Hotchkiss Mountain Gun, I learned of "Kaufmann's Army - Navy Store" in New York City.
This family business has long had a pair of Mountain Guns on the sidewalk in front of the store. The current owner has removed them for restoration. His father or grandfather is believed to have purchased them from Bannerman's.
When restored, one will likely grace the store window, from inside.
