Anyone going to Talladega this year? Will be shooting Krag along with all the other matches. Hope to meet/see some of you there.

No but its a great place to shoot! A friend and I shot a 3-day Regional HP match there a couple of years ago.

Sadly, thanks to limited finances this year, I'm only going to be able to do Perry this year. You planning on Perry too?

I'm going. I'm shooting in the JCGarand match, the Iron Man Garand Match and the vintage sniper (Swedish M41). I plan on shooting a Krag also. I bought an unfinished project a few years back that had a new Criterion barrel but it never shot great. I finally got some new actual Krag cases (instead of the 303 Brit) and it shoots great.

Right now no. I had firm plans to go last year but got some nice titanium screws in my back in June. Didn’t see that one coming. This year I’m traveling a lot more for my job.

I understand that! I would like to do Talladega this year... but between work and my current family situations, Perry is about the only match I'm going to be able to do this year!

I shot the Talledega 600 in November last year. One morning it was in the 40s with heavy rain and 30mph wind. At least there was a roof overhead. With the wind you still got soaked on the firing line. I didn't anticipate the need for rain gear. Live and learn.
