Title: The REAL Waste of Impeachment
Post by Whig on Feb 2nd, 2020 at 9:48pm
The real waste of this whole impeachment farce is that, after millions of dollars and wasted months in the House and Senate, we still don't know the truth behind Quid Pro Joe's firing of that guy in Ukraine and why his son Hunter was paid millions of dollars for doing nothing!

This was Trump's intention all along - to find these two things out! You'd think this whole damn impeachment trial thing would have investigated the reason why it all happened in the first place!

Unfortunately, it ain't over yet. There will be another "irrefutable evidence" sham, as it is already on the horizon. It could happen on Tuesday evening just prior to the State of the Union address. Not that I can foresee into the future, just getting used to the show of shows.

I fear you're right. They haven't given up yet. CNN needs more fake news to report!

Biden Stinks! Now everyone knows it.

IMHO - The Democrats will continue to negatively campaign, till election day, free of charge, with the complicity of CNN, MSNBC, most major news outlets, Academia, and "enlightened" entertainers.

However, Nancy P. seems definitely 'unhinged' and her party is conflicted.
They may be on track to self-destruct during their convention.
(Of course, they will blame President Trump, Republicans, 'The Deplorables', Fox News, and Foreign Interference).

That's a real, classic picture of hair-sniffing Quid Pro Joe! I love the cut-eye look of that officer!

I have no doubt at all that the Bidens were involved in a pay to play scheme, nothing else makes sense but I’m also sure that the same crap goes on with the younger Trumps and also went on with Hillary. You can’t outright bribe a president or vp to gain access so you camouflage your bribe via the wife or adult child as a paycheck. If Trump actually knew something about Hunter as opposed to just wanting dirt he should have notified the AG to investigate it, not Rudy and not tried to extort it from a foreign government. Trumps got the finesse of a freight train. If he was half as smart as he thinks he is we might have something. I honestly don’t see anybody worth voting for, just a lot of fools to vote against....again.

When the then, newly elected President Abraham Lincoln was trying  to decided on his cabinet members he made the comment "Where have all the truly great men gone?"

Baltimoreed and Local Boy, I can't disagree with you.

It is hard to swim in a swamp.  :'(

Trump, with all of his faults, has done more good for this country than anyone in recent history. We need business men and women running this country, not politicians. If you want someone polished and "politically correct" you can vote for another lawyer/politician. But we have someone now making great business policy getting rid of regulations and opening the door for better trade policies. Hard to fault progress and success unless you are interested in socialism, I guess.

We've given "Kinder, gentler" a try with Bush and Obama. Didn't get us anywhere.

I do want to see Trump, in his second term, attack the deficit and entitlements more and get term limits pushed through. That's where no politician has gone before!

If he does that, I’d gladly proclaim him the greatest president ever.  Career politicians more concerned with staying in office than doing what’s right is THE problem with politics in America.

Amen! Ultimate power corrupts ultimately. We broke away from Britain because we didn’t want a king but we wound up with dukes and earls, entitled for life using taxpayer dollars as voter [bribe] entitlements and selective taxes to keep themselves in power. The country is BROKE, they have to continuously raise the debt limit to pay the country’s bills.

Oh well, the Biden's will be a mute point down the road. Looks like Bernie is surfacing to the top with his Socialist agenda. I believe it was Marx that touted you can't just go to Communism, there is a step in between and it is called Socialism. So we are getting there, little by little....incrementally. Never realized it until I watched a show over the weekend, but Stalin and Mao had more people killed in their respective Communist countries than Hitler did in his Fascist country. And I sure as heck ain't sticking up for Hitler. Hopefully, us Americans can somehow pull it together and keep this country as it was founded with its self-evident truths despite our differences.

Not often I reply to political posts on a gun forum, but you guys are all spot on!
My first vote at 18 was Jimmy Carter, in my opinion a truly great man. He was under cut by R.R. even though he did all the right things dealing with the hostage crisis. R.R. turned out to be a great president. Politics are ugly.
I was young then, and now see now our votes can only change the basic course of the giant Fed ship for a while. All levels of government feeds on growing itself.
But votes do count, the swamp won't drain, and these socialists only exist because of lazy people looking for an easy ride.
Trump is mostly a jackass, but the best vote now for all of us.

I didn't vote for Trump in the 2016 primaries. But now I see that it took a "jackass" to accomplish things he has done. One of the intangible things he has done is to expose the liberal media (most media is liberal). A lot of us knew the bias of the media. We (if you are a conservative) took it in the shorts. We have been called Bible thumpers (I'm ok with that), old white haired men, racist, deplorables, gun grabbing, etc. The media gets away with that. In the past we said "may we have another, please". Now there is somebody speaking back....with yellow hair.
Again, I hope both sides come back to center and debate having more respect for the other side with the American people as a whole being the beneficiary.

It took a "New York gangster" to show us who the enemy is, Socialists and the Establishment, and showed us the way on how to fight them.

State of the union was inspiring. I retract my "jackass" comment.
He has risen to the job since then. As did President R.R. earlier.
I loved watching Pelosi and her reactions. Hopefully they will all be swept out, or learn to compromise again.

Want to see the "lost battalion" now.

This is the best State of the Union Address that I have seen since Reagan. Trump has saved this country from where it was and where it had been heading fast when Obama was president.  He is the first president to keep his promises even in the face of the democrats and media opposing him all the way.  The democrats have nothing to show for the time he has been president except the two year failed Mueller investigation and an impeachment that has garnered more support for President Trump than ever. Pelosi wasn't too bad throughout the speech until the very end when she stood up and tore up her copy of his speech and threw it on the table! That was low!

She earned her nickname "Piglosi" for that action!

It is amazing to watch the democrats fail to stand and applaud all of the positive things Trump highlighted in his speech about how things are doing well with his accomplishments. The State of the Union is pretty good and getting better and they are darned bitter because they know that they can't win elections with that kind of record to run against.

It was nice he gave a shout out for protecting the Second Amendment also. I didn't like how he pushed through banning the bump stock, though.

The "Presidential Medal of Freedom" for Rush was great and the timing was excellent. I hope Rush will be able to continue for a long time as he overcomes a big challenge before him.

I like how he feigned surprise when the medal was announced for him. He knew it a head of time. But, well deserved for what he has done. No one can take his place. Unfortunately, his love of cigars may have been his downfall.

I'm thinking Rush did not know he was going to receive it at the State of the Union address.  What a great way to stuff it up the Damnocrats's backsides.

Do any of you all watch the Antiques Road Show? The chief's blanket a few years ago was described as an American treasure, worth then $500,000, in a recent revisit now a cool 1 million.

If ARS were still here 100 years from now what would that complete torn up speech be worth? I can just see a janitor today fishing it out of the trash! Right now it would be worth at least some money to both sides.:-)

Speaking of the Road Show anyone see Krags on it? I watch it sometimes and once in a while see other firearms but so far no Krags.

Fred, the only thing I could find on a PBS search was the below which shows a black SAW soldier holding a Krag which is discussed briefly by the appraiser.

Not many people have old valuable Krags that are taken to Antiques Road Show, I guess.

You cant be walking around all those big city folks with something as tactically deadly as a 120 year old state of the art [1896 art that is] weapon. Those poor folks would have a hissy fit, swat would get called, bad things would happen.

And the trumpster IS STILL ALIVE! to insult yet again. ‘Loose the tweets!’ Similar to ‘loose the hounds!’ but with more viciousness.

I don't know if God had anything to do with Trump becoming President. If God did, then God chose a brawler instead of a baller like Romney (kudos to Laura Ingram for this comparison). Mitt would have folded to the far left and media and we would not have seen the accomplishments we have today.

Maybe Pelosi's "prayers" are bing answered, just not in the way that she wants!
Thank God for someone strong like Trump. You're right, Romney could have never held up to this. He bailed in debates with Obama!

Now the issue is whether or not President Trump was actually acquitted. I kind of go along with the left's opinion that he wasn't. That's because he wasn't actually properly charged. It all should be made null and void.
