Does any early model 1892 Krag rifle owners have a list of serial numbers for individual parts?

Is so would you share?

Curt,

I'm not sure what you are asking. If you want to know which M1892 parts actually had serial numbers, that would include the following:

1) The M1892 bolt handles were serialized to the rifle from SN: 31-400

2) The magazine gate (door) had serial numbers until around SN: 11,000

3) The cartridge carrier was also serialized until around SN: 11,000

4) The follower was serialized until SN: 670

5) The side plate was "intermittently" serialized until SN: 11,000

If you are asking something different, can you let us know?

Thanks and hope this helps. This is one area that Poyer's reference book is pretty useful.

Thanks.  What I was attempting to ask:  What are the individual serial numbers in members' early 1892 Krags. My gate no is "50"

I had to go and double check but my original M1892 serial number 1631 has all matching internal parts.
