Title: Winchester Brass Good?

It seems the Winchester brass is about half the price of the Graffs or Hornady.  Anybody use it?

Does anybody use it?  Does Bernie the Russian Soviet Bear dump in the woods?

I have more winchester than remington (both are equally good brass) though it is only a personal preference and because my remington brass started out as rare loaded ammo during the Obarky Dry Spell.

Winchester brass is today 40 cents each at Red River.

Twenty bags is one case.  Wink wink, nudge nudge.   ;)

Winchester brass is as good as it gets!  I have several hundreds of rounds of R-P brass and a couple hundred Winchester, along with some new GRAF, and some other odds and ends.  I prefer the Winchester over all of the rest!

Culpepper, what’s the magic elixir in the jug?  Secret reloading ingredient you want to share?  :o

Pure sunshine in a jug.  :D  Get yer self a gallon of ethanol, some slivers of white oak, hit the oak lightly with a torch.  Put the slivers in the jug and cap it.  Set it on the shelf fer six months and you'll have some smooth sippin whiskey. ;)

You may want to cut it 50/50 with non chrorine water to get it to 40% in case you're a weak spined city slicker that can't handle full strength squeezin's. :o

Sunshine in a jug.  Just what a country boy needs on a cold winter day. Of course, in Texas that means it’s below 55 degrees!

Yeah that is the down side.  I found out years ago that the cheapest price listed is not the lowest cost when shipping is added.  I created a spreadsheet to help me get the lowest cost per unit.  Works well for me.

Name      price each      price unit      X 20      shipping for 20      Tax      Total D, E & F      Cost each
Red River .30-40 50/bag 20 bags      0.399      19.97      399.40      30.79      0.00      430.19      0.430
Ammo Mart .30-40 50/bag 20 bags      0.412      20.62      412.40      12.98      27.84      453.22      0.453
Midway .30-40 case =20 bags      0.430            429.00      0      0      429      0.429

Even though Midway had a higher per unit price it was the lowest cost with free shipping.  Or in this case equal to the lowest ranked with shipping and taxes.  And I hate paying tax on principle.

This was figured for a case lot of twenty bags.
