Need to bring the humor back to this thread. Three weeks ago our Three Oaks Fire Dept was called out to a small grass fire. When we got back to the station to fill up the trucks with water, a couple of the guys had tape measures with them to enforce the 6 foot rule. Get too close and they would whip out the tape measure, "remember the 6 feet rule". Probably all of them live a mile from their closest neighbor like me.
We get kidded at fires when the fire marshal is there. Did the nursing home let you out today? When do you have to be back for bingo?
Our secretary is in his eighties, we let him drive the 5 ton as it has power steering, the 2 1/2 ton steering is by arm strong. At the station someone will follow him around to catch him if he falls. Usually someone will follow him home to make sure he makes it.

We do turn out well when some of the other departments are having to close down or go to taxed and paid departments, we will show up with at least 4 trucks and sometimes 10 men.
