I just inherited my great grandfathers Krag and was wanting to know the value of the gun. I am not really a gun guy and now have a cabinet full of vintage guns. It was a gun my father found in the original army wood box packed in the original grease and cleaned and put in our gun cabinet. It has had 7 shells through it and it looks brand new. It is #37xx.
