I just got a Krag 1898. Cartouche 1900. It looks closest to the pic of a carbine, but barrel is shorter & no top site. If anyone could tell me what I have or what it is worth please email me @ durheiment@cs.com. Thank you.

It sounds like you have a sporterized rifle. Worth around $150-$300 depending on what original parts are still there.
A more through description with some measurements, the serial number and some pictures would go a long way to a more accurate description and value!
