A model specific car club I belong to had a member (before my time) named Frank Mallory. This Frank Mallory had an unmolested original car that he had bought new about 30 years before. The car and Franks knowledge were the holy grail of originality on this model car. I always wondered if it was the same Frank Mallory, the Krag guru. Recently his son joined the car group and I asked. Turns out they are one and the same. I asked Frank Jr. if he had any copies of his dads book. He replied that the books and guns, about 100 of them, were sold off.

Yesterday I received an email from Frank Jr. to the effect that he had found an autographed copy of the book and put it on eBay.

I bid and it is now mine. Hope to use it to expand my limited  Krag knowledge.

Yes, it wasn't widely known, I don't believe, but I understand that Frank was something of an authority , and quite active in Mercedes-Benz circles, as well as Krags.
