for years i heard my dad tell stories of shooting deer and elk with his old 30-40 krag and eddystone 1917 i finally acquired a nice 30-40 krag had some questions about what i bought found this website answered alot of my questions and have a beautiful new bubba-ized krag in my collection!! ser 151xxx believe a 1899 built model 1898 springfield the stock needs loved someone checkered it but its definitly a sporter but retains its classic look with ramp sight and front sight i seen the sedley posts but were there other people that sporterized if so do the have marks somewhere on the rifle it does still retain its top wood.
