Leather Scabbard for 1902 bayonet

I have a 1902 Krag Bayonet (stamped 1902 on one side and US on the other) but it is holstered in a leather scabbard?  I can't find any info on this type of scabbard.  Is this the real deal or some type of marriage?  The scabbard has a metal ring on the back and a leather adjustment or attachment strap on the top by the hilt and one approximately 4 inches up from the tip end.  Any help in identification will be appreciated.  Thank you, Jerry

Jerry,
You have a picket pin scabbard. For some reason, you will find many Krag bayonets in this leather scabbard. The tool that came in this scabbard looks like a small steel hammer with the handle sharpened to a point.
