Greetings all.  THis looks like afun forum!  i recently inherited a Krag Jorgensen dated 1917.  The s/ns all match, being 116055.  It has been sporterized, i.e., the forestock is removed forward of the barrel band. It has a pistol grip stock with a door for accessories in the butt plate.  There are no US markings on it anywhere.  It appears to have a nice bore, fairly crisp rifling, and overall looks to be in good condition.  I have no idea as to whether its Swedish, Danish, etc., nor to I have any idea as to the caliber.  Any informationor direction to where I may find the info would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Lothar

You have a Norwegian Krag, looks like a model 1894.
Caliber should be 6.5x55

Ned, thanks very much! Exactly what I was trying to find out. Now to clean it all up, remove the dried grease, etc. I really took a liking to this rifle, and would like to shoot it.  BTW, I just finished a restoration on an M1854 Austrian Lorenze Rifle, so I'm looking to go over this one and get it in clean, shootable condition.
Regards,
Lothar
