I have a 1902 rear sight on my krag but I notice the windage adjustment moves freely, no clicks. is this normal or am I missing something?

hrragen:  Your 1902 Krag sight is working correctly for windage adjustment.  There are no positive 'clicks', just friction of moving parts and old dried preservative oil or grease.
