1899 Carbine SRS request

I can no longer resist asking:  I have an 1899 Krag, #349912, that was 'sporterized' by slimming down the carbine stock and having a banded front sight installed.  The barrel is too long, 22&1/4 inches.  But the index marks on the barrel and action line up perfectly.  Any significance or hits on that serial number?  (The 'knobless' cocking piece and K-1 Pacific peep-sight are late additions).

No hit on that serial number, but some M1899 Carbines are close.. Looks like a carbine stock. Is it a carbine sight and the receiver marked M1899?

98src:  Thank you for your response.  On the Krag in question, the receiver is marked Model 1899 & Serial #349912.  The banded front-sight appears to be from a Model 30 Remington bolt-action rifle.  There was no Krag rear sight on this 1899, when I obtained it.  I had to take plugs out of the rear sight holes and remove a hideous coat of black enamel paint from all the metal.  It was wearing the K-1 Pacific 'peep' sight, a regular 'knob' cocking-piece, the much sanded 1899 Carbine Stock, and the Carbine barrel band, when I bought it.  It has a mint bore and I bought it at a reasonable price for a shooter.  I guess it has a shortened rifle barrel (22 & 1/4 inches) on it, but as I stated, the index marks on the barrel and action appear 'arsenal' and line up perfectly.  I added the 'knobless' cocking-piece because I had one and like it.
