I recently purchased a .30-40 Krag on line; a 1898 rifle marked 1900 on the stock.    It seems to be in excellent shape but I'm not as familiar with this type as I am other rifles.   What are the areas of common wear or concern I should check out?   I will take it to a gunsmith, but  as a new owner, what should I look for in terms of potential problems?
