I am sure this has been covered before, but I am new so forgive me. I am looking for a recommendation for a bullet to use for reloading. I would like something that is similar to the original ball ammo.
Thanks

Howdy!  Welcome to the forum...

I load Hornady 220 gr jacketed round nosed bullets with 40.0 grains of IMR 4350.  This loading is approximately the same characteristics as the original 30 USA (30-40) round.  The original used a cupro-nickle jacketed 220 grain round nosed bullet.  I like Hornady bullets the prices are usually pretty good, but any decent 220 grain round nosed bullet should give similar results.

Good luck with your loading endeavors!
Paul
