Yesterday, I picked up the 98 carbine and will get photos out or use the GB pics.
Surprise was the FFL dealer had located a 99 carbine serial number 227827, 32" stock, 22" barrel, 1901 cartouche, with the 1896 sight.  I found the c on the base, one on the leaf.  I compared it to the KCA fake sight photos and all was OK, but the slide.  It looks like a 96 type 3 rifle slide.
Anyone seen this before?
