WTT - 1899 Carbine
Dec 29th, 2013 at 1:04am

I am looking to trade my 1899 Krag Carbine. I bought this a little under two years ago from a fellow gunboards member. Now I have a little extra cash and am looking to move into another 1899 Krag Carbine with more remaining finish.

The bad news = There is no remaining finish left anywhere. There is also a notch cut in the front blade sight and the end of the barrel in front of the front sight (kind of like someone was going to file off the end of the barrel and changed their mind.).
The good news = The stock/barrel/rear "C" marked sight/handguard...pretty much everything besides the finish is correct and original. No sporterizing, everything works and is intact. It also shoots well; I have put about 300rds through it and can keep all shots on the paper at 100yds.

Trades: As stated I am interested in moving into a nicer 1899 Krag Carbine (basically an identical Krag but with at least some remaining original finish). I will obviously include cash in addition to my Krag. I would also be interested in a trade towards a Roth-Steyr M1907 or a M1879 Reichsrevolver (I may include cash in addition to my Krag depending on condition of the trade). I don't need the money and would really prefer the aforementioned trades, but may consider a cash offer.

Terms: I'd love to make a deal with another-NH resident, but I realize that isn't too likely. This Krag isn't pre-1899 and I am not a C&R holder. I will look into the laws regarding a non-C&R holder selling to a C&R holder interstate; otherwise I can ship to an FFL 01 in your state.

I have many pictures.  Please PM me at Marcus99 if you would like me to see them or if you have any questions.
