Disassembly Instructions

I am a new owner of a Krag. I can find instruction/video for bolt removal and disassembly but have been unable to locate photos video of rifle disassembly. I need to clean the
magazine area and want to give the entire rifle a good cleaning.

Howdy... and welcome to the forum, and to the wonderful world of Krags!

There are books that can be very helpful to you.  If you can find a copy, "The Krag Rifle Story" by Frank Mallory is the best (although very hard to find), and "The Krag Rifle" by William Brophy is also great.  There is also "The American Krag Rifle and Carbine" by Joe Poyer... but I've heard that some of the info in this book is wrong.

There are also a few manuals around out there that can help you with what you need.  Check out this website:

Specifically this Krag manual, last printed in 1917:

There are many members here who can help you with pictures, and also with information.  If you're looking to reload for this rifle, we can help you with that as well.  Hope this all helps you out.
