1896 rifle with a parkhurst

I've always had a liking for Krags ever since I first started shooting over 30 years ago. I finally got my first one last week. It's a sporterized 1896 rifle serial #95xxx that's in good shape considering the barrel and stock have been butchered. I bought Poyer's book and everything seems correct. However, it has a Parkhurst clip loading attachment. I have found little info on the Parkhurst and was looking for input from knowledgeable collectors. Everything I've read says it shouldn't be on this rifle. I tried to attach a photo but the file was too large. I'll work on that.
