I'd have to assume/believe it is - it's on the list on the homepage as an "O" which means that Tom Pearce personally vetted it, as opposed to the "R" designation which means the rifle was only "reported" but not actually seen by him, hands-on. He has owned at least three over the years, and I think that was his long-term keeper - hard to see how it could be upgraded.
The only photographable feature, without dismounting the stock - which they were probably loathe to do - would be the rear sight. S/N was already stated and the front sight (blade) difference, while real, is very hard to see.
Mine, due to the stock issue(s) will always be mongrels, but still interesting, and still very fortunate acquisitions. I'm hoping that 5MF sheds some additional light on the BoOF rifles. I am particularly intrigued by the fact that the SA specimen is in carbine wood - this might lend some credence to mine. I'm not touching that one (388786) until the matter is resolved, or at least until more is known.
389182 will be "restored" at some point - have not yet decided whether to stretch its' (undoubtedly original) stock, or shorten a full-length one. Leaning strongly towards the former to avoid sacrificing another genuine stock. Does anyone have a good front end - long enough to splice under the band? I'd much rather salvage an original stock broken across the magazine, or having a shattered wrist, or checkered or pistol-gripped, for example, than go the repro forend route. I'd always figured on two joints, as one also needs to preserve the original patina appearance of the exposed tip.
