Buy the gun, not the story. To me it is a buggered up Krag, the worth of which lies in the metal and bore condition. After throwing away the stock, what's left is worth less than a quarter of the starting bid, IMO, for what it's worth.

One would think also that they would have at least blown the cobwebs out of the muzzle before taking pics.

Some value their Krags like they were a gold bar recovered from the wreckage of the Titanic.  In reality, it's an interesting carved stock on a cutdown sporter that holds no real value.  Sad that people routinely get taken in by these and overpay multi-fold!
