Hey everyone. Im new to this sight and wanted to see if anyone wants interested in the above rifle. As far as condition, its all original and fully functional. Lock works like new with strong spring and internals. Lock and metal parts are full patina, but smooth and in great shape. marked Barnett London. Nipple looks like it may be very hard to remove. Bore is worn about a quarter of the way down from the muzzle. Stock has CSA initialed and an insignia above it on wrist of gun. JS In a circle above heel of butt plate. John Southgate was an inspector who inspected many imported rifles for the Confederacy. Wood is in very good shape. For the age, has bumps and bruises but solid. Someone may or may not have varnished the stock at some point, but had to have been early on as its aged and wearing. Id say gun is in good antique shape. Feel free to ask questions. Would prefer local pickup or to meet somewhere. Im located in boyertown southeast PA. Thanks alot. Also please email for pictures. For some reason I can't post them here. interested in possible trades, or $800.
