Krag trivia from manuals.

I was looking through my library today trying to find a photo of a Krag being used along with a .30 cal. McKeever cartridge box.
(There is a likelihood that these two pieces of equipment were not officially used together).

While looking, I ran across a neat picture of Krags being inspected at Springfield, circa 1902. The inspector is possibly Conrad Nelson, who transferred to Rock Island Arsenal in 1904 and put his "C.N." cartouche on 1903 Springfield rifles made at R.I.A.

From "Firing Regulations for Small Arms for the United States Army and the Organized Militia Of The United States", Washington: Government Printing Office, 1904.

A photo of 'prone' shooting, before the sling was utilized as a shooting aid, and a description of various Krag rounds in use (1904).
