Got my 1898 rebarreled back last week

Working on barrel breakin today along with some sighters.  It shoots about 3.5 MOA left.  The sight is fixed windage.  So, my questions are:
1) what MOA windage values are the adjustable sights worth?
2) any thoughts on where I could get one?
Trying to get squared away for the TR match at Perry.

Also my front sling swivel band keeps coming loose.  Is this something like a thread sealant fix or something else?
Thanks
Vic

If you put a later model 1901 or 1902 sight on it, you will also have to change to an appropriate hand-guard. The hand-guards are more expensive than the sights.

The sights show up on ebay all the time. Original hand-guard prices are getting crazy!

A dab of Blue Lock-tite on barrel-band/swivel screw threads should solve unwanted loosening.

Elevation-wise, some of the 1902 sights, including those converted from 98 or 03 sights, have finer adjustments that the 25yd increments shown.  Some too fine to feel, so I have to keep my glasses handy if I want to make elevation adjustments.  The sights I'm using now are 98 bases with adjustment notches that are half the value shown above.  There is one with crosshatching on the side that would make for approx .75" difference on POI at 200yds with each "notch", but those are the ones you can hardly feel the "notches" on when moving the sight.

I found one (1902) on the CMP forum.  I'll install and determine the MOA per clicks needed.  Many thanks for the advise.
