brass deforming

Hello    I have two krags   One rifle one saddle ring carbine. Both unaltered.     With the same box of  factory ammo the rifle shoots/functions  great!   The carbine loads easy, shoots but deforms the brass ( gives it a sharp angled shoulder) and won't eject.  Have to push case out with cleaning rod.  Any ideas ?

Possibly, the Carbine's chamber was altered.

Pictures of your 'fired' brass would help with analysis.

And maybe a broken extractor.  Just a little chip off the edge is all it takes.
