Answer: When a picture is used on 'Wikapedia' and it is Model 1895 Winchester-Lee rifles!

'Google Searching' tonight I ran across this 'fuzzy' photograph I had never seen before. Apparently, it is 'Public Domain' from the USMC.

It was captioned as, "United States Marines with Krag-Jorgensen rifles". It was  thought to have been taken in 1898, possibly, at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

I cleaned it up as best I can. It looks to me to be Winchester-Lee rifles, web-gear, and bayonets.

The photo appears posed, but, a couple of men seem to be, or are simulating, inserting 'clips' into their rifle's magazine. (Pretty cool photo - IMHO).
