Thanks again guys. Kind of disappointing that it's not listed as being issued. It makes me wonder where it went after it was made. It is cool that it was made early in the year though. I know it's been shot, a lot! The barrel has been pretty much shot out. Still cool though.

Only a small percentage of Krag serial numbers show up in official documents.

Just about all Krags saw service, but, are not documented in researched paperwork. Lots of documents no longer survive.

In a Krag, worn or "Shot Out" does not mean un-shootable, or in-accurate.  Slug the bore.  If you shoot correctly sized bullets, Krags can still prove quite accurate!  Another option is to re-barrel with a new Criterion barrel.  They are excellently made and deadly accurate!
