I was repairing a model 1902 rear-sight today, that had a broken lock-screw on the elevation slide.

Since, it was mostly all apart, I took some photos that may assist others in the future.

A sheared-off knob on the 'clamping' or lock-screw is a common casualty on 1902 sights.

S&S Firearms has original 'lock- screws' that were made for the 'Rod-Bayonet' 1903 Springfield rear-sight, but, actually were used in the early 1900's to repair Krag sights.

(note - I have had luck with small 'pin-punches' made out of re-shaped cheap jeweler screwdrivers).

p.s. Don't needlessly take Krag sights apart unless you have to facilitate a repair.
