Hey Paul
The bore is pretty good but not great.  It does have some pitting.  Early grouping suggest a 2 MOA gun.  Hope to get to the range today and get some better accuracy numbers at 100, then 200 yds. 
Yeah, all indications are that I'll take this rifle. 
Wow, my first Krag project has been plagued with many issues.  The new barrel install just never went right.  Back at the gunsmith's now for corrective measures: feeding problems and chambering tightness/head spacing.  Though it does have a pretty good trigger.  Ha!
