Am I Johnny-come-lately, but I just ran across this and couldn't help but share it. Theodore Roosevelt's book "The Rough Riders" published in 1899. Free online at Google Books.

If you're not a fan of support for Google, the book is also available from Kindle or iBooks.  It's a pretty quick read and is often available in free formats if you want to search.

This is one book I will DEFINITELY read!!!

On a side note...  Good Ole TR was sure a strapping svelte portrait of a man in those SAR years, as compared to his portly later years as President!
