Mixed Up Ammo

Today my son discovered what happens to a 5.56 AR-15 when you inadvertently add a .300 Blackout round in a magazine mixed in with your 5.56 ammo.

Fortunately no one was hurt...except for my son's ego!

Good news is that my recently refinished/cleaned-up 1896 sporter shot like a champ... even with the dreaded nasty dark bore.

The pictures look pretty catastrophic. Glad nobody was hurt. Hope your son gets back on that horse and uses his experience to inform his buddies.

Thanks guys!

Yep, my son was a little shaken but he grabbed his .300 Blackout AR pistol...jumped back on the horse (figure of speech)...and blasted away a few more rounds.

I even managed to talk him into popping off a few rounds with the old Krag.
