An interesting posting over on the CMP forum about a .22 RF Krag. Not much detail though. The OP's location is listed as California.

That's TOP dollar but I wouldn't consider it out of line.
If it truly is a Pope Krag, anyway.
I can find two that sold without digging too deep. Including buyers premiums (because auction houses are pretty strict about the buyer actually paying those):
Rock Island on 9-7-12: $3,163
Rock Island on 9-11-10: $2,987
If I came across one of these, I'd probably ask $3,000. Can't say it would sell there but I don't think it's an unprecedented price.
I don't know how big this gun store is and what kind of clientele they have...but I'd wager it's going to sit for a while!

Thanks! Well, it's definitely not one of the SA ones, so it is either a Pope or some sort of Bubba. Condition is not the greatest, though it does look like it's been together for awhile. Personally, I'm not big on the Pope ones, and think that's a lot of money for that rifle. I paid $3,000 for my SA, but that was several years ago when prices were higher. I MAY be parting with mine during the down-sizing which is on the horizon, and, I may not. Time will tell.
