Below is a link to a book titled "The Official History of the Eighty-Sixth Division" from 1921. It follows the Division as it prepares for it's involvement in the Great War. Professional boxers were brought in for some of the training including going up against Krag rifles with bayonets attached. The Krags would be replaced with American Enfields before heading for France. Photos of the boxing is on page 16.
