	It would be quite the thrill to have an original 1.65 inch Hotchkiss (2-Pound) Mountain Cannon to shoot for recreation. I reviewed a couple of videos, (one 'you-tube' and one 'Pawn Stars'), tonight. The Vegas Pawn Shop bought an original Hotchkiss for $30K. Too pricey for me! It would be fun to have a high quality 1/2 scale replica that could fire .50 cal. BMG cases loaded with Black Powder and a cast projectile.

	While I'm not REALLY "into" old photos (I definitely enjoy them, but don't collect them) I'm struck by thinking that is one of the few pics I've actually seen of a slung Krag. I could well be wrong, but that was the first thing I noticed.

	Cool bit of history, Waterman! I never heard that rhyme before. Your old veteran neighbor must have been in the Field Artillery. You've preserved his memory here! "Where a goat can go ... a man can go ... where a man can go ... he can drag a gunne" (with a Scottish brogue, please). Supposedly said, by British General Phillips, when ordering artillery pieces placed on top of Mt. Defiance, to successfully maneuver Americans out of Fort Ticonderoga, during 1777, Burgoyne Campaign.
