Krag Jorgensen Eggs

"Krag Jorgensen Eggs" are the three words I searched with tonight, as zany as that may seem, and came up with the following link. It is from a July 1897 article in the magazine "Recreation". The article is in the "Guns and Ammunition" section of the magazine. I have ran in to articles about the use of cadavers when testing the Krag-Jorgensen rifle before, mostly in Army Surgeon reports, but didn't feel they were post-worthy. But this article, from the Kansas City "Star", was for public consumption back then in a sporting magazine and apparently from a newspaper. So I figured it would be OK. Again, there was a question about the humanity of the Krag rifle and the cartridge it shot. No longer an issue now.

Page 63, titled "Testing the Army Rifle". See if you can find the word egg in the article:

Easy - but it shows up as "egg s". Part of the description of damage done to the sample human head.

Here is yet an earlier test on the humanity issue of the Krag-Jorgensen rifle.
