This advertisement appeared in a 1956 "Guns Magazine", that I was reading through 'online', today.

The price looks good, but, I was eight years old, when it ran. So, the prices were more significant than they appear.

(IIRC - My Dad was making about $6,000 a year, with overtime. Our house cost $12,000. A new Ford Fairlane cost about $2,000 and most people in our neighborhood had to buy 'used' cars. There was also a bit of a 'Recession' in the economy. Oh, ... and Davy Crockett was King of the Wild Frontier)!

And not just California, but North Hollywood, California. That has to be real close to Hollywood.   Cool

(My Dad was in high school in 1956. Just sayin'.  Roll Eyes)

$330 for the carbine according to an online inflation calculator.
I’ll take a dozen!
