I saw this "30/40" wooden crate on ebay and had to do a double take.

Actually, it is not an ammo crate for Krag ammo, as listed.

I played with the posted photos to see the wording more clearly.

"Krasdale" is a New York grocery wholesale firm, founded in 1908, by Abraham Krasne.

It appears the box originally contained 25 lbs. of shipped prunes, from Oregon.

Still, a neat item!

Keeps you regular and would make a nice 'Range Box'.
