WW2 gun donation pencils

I found these in dads basement the other day. (I seem to have some spare time lately). I think they are from "The American committee for the defence of British homes". It seems after the 1937 British gun control act disarmed its citizens the Brits suddenly needed armed citizens to defend against a nazi invasion. This organization was formed to help out. I think they are neat reminders of what can happen in an emergency.

'King Carp' - Neat vestige of the past.

I recall seeing old publication advertisements from this period requesting rifles, pistols, and binoculars, to aid Britain.

Of course the U.S. was officially 'Neutral' and politically divided until December 7, 1941.

Thanks for sharing!
