Why our troops wanted the .45 colt

After seeing the many ways you could be sliced up I see why our S.A.W. troops wanted the .45 colt instead of the .38 if attacked by one of these you would want some serious stopping power. This plaque was brought home by my uncle after his service in WW2. I imagine our S.A.W. troops faced similar weapons.

Thanks for posting heirloom plaque!

Moros were a tough nut to crack. Army had to salvage scuttled Spanish boats and become a "Navy" on inland-lake.

(I love shooting .45's)!
