I'm calling Craig Boddington out. Well, in a good way. He has got to be my favorite gun writer as he a lot times writes about things I'm interested in. Mainly, traditional cartridges. Whether it is the grand old 30-30 WCF or the underrated .35 Whelen or the mainstay 30-06, he seems to be on the same plain as myself and some other "old timers" (I guess I qualify for that). In the recent Rifle Shooter magazine (July/August 2020) he has an article titled "Old Workhorses" about cartridges. No, the 30-40 Krag didn't make his short list, but it did get honorable mention in a side panel with some other cartridges just to appease some of us if nothing else. I do like his honest to goodness writing style.
