Hello, just a new guy, I have a 1894 Krag, serial no 15---, unable to read the cartouche but is dated 1907, has a 2000 yd rear sight with a slide up peep , stock has a stylized P in a circle under the wrist of the stock , picked this up about 20 years ago , just trying to find out about it,

Probably a 1901 date in the cartouche.  They got very "stylistic" with their ones! 

I'm by no means the expert, but if you can post photos those who are experts will usually fill you in.  Also, don't worry about posting the full s/n.  Unless you also post your name and address no one is going to know where that rifle resides!
